Britney Jean Spears (born December 2, 1981) is an American singer and entertainer. Born in Mississippi and raised in Louisiana, she shot to fame with her hit single ‘Baby, one more time’

She is listed by the Guinness World Records as having the "Best-selling album by a teenage solo artist" for her debut album ‘Baby One More Time’ which sold over thirteen million copies in the United States.

Spear’s personal life has been a frequent subject of celebrity and tabloid journalism due to her numerous break-downs and her steady stream of boyfriends. Spears has been married twice, most notably to Kevin Federline, and has two children Sean Preston Federline and Jayden James Federline, and was also the subject of a reality TV show with Federline in Britney & Kevin: Chaotic.

Spears filed for divorce from Federline on November 7, 2006, citing irreconcilable differences.
