The leading female face of Bollywood was born in July 16 1984. Born from a Caucasian British mother and an Indian father, Katrina is one of the eight siblings.

Taking up modeling as a career was not an obsession for Katrina. It rather started accidentally at the tender age of 14, when she was approached by a jewelry company. And eventually this modeling turned out to be the prime cause of her break in Bollywood.

Katrina Kaif, though linguistically challenged, is quite optimistic about her progress and casts the example of Sri Devi. She is making sincere efforts to improve Hindi by taking Hindi learning classes and is also taking rigorous dance tuitions to fit in to the world of Hindi movies. She has been one of the most successful female leads of Bollywood for the year 2008 and had a string of successful releases.
